In this climate of rapidly rising (and falling) fuel prices, it is critical that organisations can independently monitor and verify the impact of these changes. For "rise and fall" clauses in contracts, FUELtrac indices provide a transparent and nationally accepted method for moving (escalating) fuel related contracts.

FUELtrac provides a number of pricing indices for the Australian market, including:

  • Monthly FUELtrac IPIP index reports,
  • Daily FUELtrac IPIP index reports,
  • Daily, Weekly and Monthly retail (pump) price reports,
  • FUELtrac IPIP Forecasting reports.

FUELtrac Wholesale (IPIP) Price Reports

The FUELtrac IPIP is a monthly pricing indicator based on a fixed formula, that takes into account movements in international pricing variables. The IPIP takes into account factors such as:

  • Refined product prices (ex Singapore )
  • Shipping (sea freight)
  • Wharfage
  • Insurance
  • Losses, and
  • Local Margins

This formula is particularly applicable for large fuel users who purchase their fuel using an "escalator" based formulae. Reports are available on a daily or monthly basis.
